THOSE INSIDIOUS WITHHOLDING TAXES
by Joseph Farah
FULTON'S COMMENTARY ON THIS ARTICLE: |
From a tactical standpoint, one of the most clever moves ever made by statist politicians was the implementation of withholding taxes. This made it possible for statists to camouflage, to a degree, the amount of money taken from you in the way of taxes and to lower the shock and pain of paying nearly 40% of your income to statists for them to dispense to their supporters.
Farah is right on target. If withholding taxes were abolished, the reality of the level of taxation suffered by most would slap virtually everyone in the face.
If withholding taxes were eliminated, it would be a major blow to statism and an enormous step in the direction of freedom.
