Statists are inveterate liars. They have to lie, since reality--and, therefore, the truth--is their enemy. America's current intervention in Serbia is a perfect illustration of this fact. America is not involved militarily because of "ethnic cleansing." It is engaged in this action for other reasons: for power. Walter Williams' article makes this clear. If America was concerned about the slaughter of innocent individuals for so-called ethnic reasons, then why has it turned a blind eye to the massacres that have occurred in Africa?
